SPACED OUT Terrified teenagers discover a mysterious creature on the beach … and think it is ‘an actual alien’
MOST people think that an alien invasion would come from the skies, but a group of teenagers were convinced we were under attack when they filmed a weird space-like creature washed up by the sea.
The kids were walking along a marina in east Queensland when they spotted the multi-legged, pink, bizarre animal.
One of the teenagers got out their camera phone to film the being and posted it online.
The footage shows the worm curled up and then unfurling before creepily wriggling around the ground.
On the video, one boy is heard shouting: “Ew – weird, look at that.”

The girl replied: “It can live in and out of water, so that’s a bit different.”
The teenager then asks the boys to flip it over so it can walk away, however it suddenly starts crawling towards her – causing the girl to run away screaming.

One of the boys shouted: “It’s an alien – it’s an actual alien.”
While the creature may look like someone from a sci-fi film, it actually a bristle worm – which can grow up to 50cm in length.

There are at least 10,000 species of these swimming bristly worms, some of which pop with brilliant colours or glow in the dark.
The UK found its very own giant worm this month – a 16 inch earthworm called “Dave”.
