How to spot the International Space Station in the skies above Scotland this weekend

Visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane

It’s always circling somewhere above our heads at record speed.

However, this weekend the International Space Station will be visible for a few minutes each night in Scotland.

From Glasgow , to Edinburgh , Stirling and Aberdeen , Scots across the country will be able to get a glimpse of the shuttle.

It is the third brightest object in the sky and easy to spot if you know when to look up – you don’t need any fancy equipment to see it either.

Visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane only much higher and traveling thousands of miles an hour faster.
So here’s at exactly what time you’ll be able to spot it across the country:

Saturday, May 25 at 00:50am for two minutes

Saturday, May 25 at 10.24pm for six minutes

Sunday, May 26 at 00:01am for four minutes

Sunday, May 26 at 11:11pm for five minutes

Aberdeen
Saturday, May 25 at 00:50am for two minutes

Saturday, May 25 at 10.25pm for six minutes

Sunday, May 26 at 00:01am for four minutes
