Forest aliens on the loose

ENCHANTED Forest organisers have been inundated with reports of alien abductions this week.
But it’s not the usual story of little, green men beaming humans aboard their flying saucers for experimentation purposes.
In an astonishing turnaround, visitors to the sell-out Highland Perthshire attraction have been helping themselves to the pint-sized, inflatable extra-terrestrials.
Tricia Fox, spokeswoman for the Enchanted Forest, said: “We started with about 100, but over the past few days their numbers have been steadily decreasing!
“Either people are swiping them as souvenirs or it’s a case of ‘ET goes home’!”
The Enchanted Forest opened at Faskally Wood near Pitlochry last week, with tickets sales for the sound and light event’s 17-day run already at record levels.
Now in its seventh year, The Enchanted Forest brings 20,000 people to Perthshire’s Big Tree Country, providing a huge boost to the local economy.
The event is managed by Forestry Commission Scotland, working with Perth and Kinross Council, Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, VisitScotland, Scottish Enterprise Tayside and the local community.
